Life

Life is a blend of everything. A blend of love, relationships, purpose, hobbies, habits, tastes and preferences, likes and dislikes, dreams and reality, people, places and other stuff like emotions, feelings and other components that makes us human in the individual level. Remove any one of these components from life and life will start to feel incomplete. This quarantine period actually hit my mind hard and made me really think about it. What do I want in my life? What do I really want in life, from life? Is it a bright future I aspire for? Is it a career? Is it my lifestyle? Is it a life filled with love? Is it a passion? A purpose? A life filled with memories? A life filled with money? A life in which I break all my barriers? Or, is it going to be something where I search for the eternal purpose of like a saint? Every single component that makes life is linked with the other, whether it is visible to our naked analysis and observation or not. I cannot say I started finding answers for all my questions, but the quest remains unsolved. Even if we give it all a thought and somehow decide it that this is going to be of utmost priority in my life, it may or may not happen that life will give you a choice. I sometimes think that things just get complicated when we cannot adapt to the change life brings to us. Sometimes, it is good to hold on to certain things to keep our conscience clear and stand strong about what we want. Some other times, even if those things which we are holding on to doesn’t impact our lives anymore, we somehow hold on so hard and tight to them and try to find a way to get back to them. I really feel that those who make love the purpose of their life, or those who find a purpose and fall in love with it are extremely lucky. How about those who find both purpose and love in their life? The quest of life is always on. We never know when it leads us where. What if life is just about life itself? Living every moment of it? Be it happy or sad, comfortable or uncomfortable. We never know. But I have always heard a great man say,

"The ultimate purpose of life is to be of service!"

It makes sense to me. If it is always about us, we can never say that we have lived a life. Something or the other, if we observe, we do for the sake of someone else. Selflessly. It can be our own family or a friend, or anyone we love for that matter. Personally, when I see someone smile because of me, just that little smile is enough to keep me happy the whole day. Who is the one smiling? Does not matter. One thing is for sure in life. Things inevitably keep getting better. No doubt that the challenges keep growing bigger, but when we believe in ourself, when we see ourself bigger than the events of life, we inculcate that strength in us which helps us handle any situation that life brings us and we will be able to move forward with courage in life.
