The Heart




The only thing that never changes in this world is change. Until and unless we realise this, we can never be at peace. Something that had been bothering you yesterday does not exist today. Something bigger or smaller would have already taken its place for that matter. Anyway, just look at yourself now. How were you three years ago? How were you five years ago? For better or worse, things changed, or rather, you did. You never know where life leads you. Which new version of yours it demands. The new faces you see now in your daily life whom you never even thought would become an important part of you life when you met them! Your new hobbies, new passions in life, new goals. But there is this thing from the very beginning that holds on so strong to its instincts. It is something that never lies to you. It keeps its connections so strong and holds on to something that connects with it. Old or new, easy or hard, convincing or compelling, directing or distracting, elevating or entertaining. If it holds on to something, you can not convince it to leave what it is holding on to. You must have already guessed it. Yep! You are right. The heart. It is never wrong. Either it makes you cherish the world to its fullest or it makes you learn the most important lessons of life. The only thing that time bows down to like a wave cannot grab the feet but can only take some sand under the feet, is the commitments and determinations taken by this heart. If this heart would not have the power to hold on, we would not be cherishing the old rock albums of AC/DC, that same song would not be repeating in our playlist for one thousand times, that same old movie won't be able to get tears in your eyes for the twenty-fith time, we won't be sitting on the terrace looking at the same old moon which does not even appear properly everyday. Anything that is everlasting like Love, happiness, enthusisasm, be it anything for that matter. Heart has the power to stay untouched by time.

  If we look at it, fear has only a single root cause. Pain. I'm afraid

I'm afraid. I'm afraid of a lot of things. Many things trigger my anxiety in an instance. I see no way around when fear consumes me. It's easy to say, "embrace your fears," but they burn you out. The closer you get to them, the more you get burnt. Embrace them? It is like embracing fire. A lot of things in this world... No, no. A lot of significant things in this world happened because of fear and a lot of things which could've changed history did not happen, thanks to fear.  Fear - A strong feeling that clouds the intellect and limits one's capabilities. I tell myself a thousand times that fear will not change the outcome, or do me any favour, but I end up falling in it's trap. Every single time I tell myself I'm strong, I'm not afraid of something, the more I'm with it and the more fear I experience. Bored?

  Boredom is a part of life, or, should I say, inevitable part of life? Because life runs on repetitions. We have day after a night and the same night after the day. We eat three times a day, a limited number of food items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In fact, sometimes the same breakfast even the next day. We barely eat those same 10-11 items that we know to cook or that are available, in the course of time. I think all of you must be already aware of this inevitable phenomenon of our mind. We hate REPETITION! Our mind wants something new everyday. Almost every moment. We start off with certain subjects to study and if we are intelligent, it won't take any long for that subject to lose its charm. We take up a job, won't take much time for our mind to get used to the same boring work and we end up looking for something new already. Same happens with anything we want to do in life.
